Earlier this month, Agape Orphanages held its holiday fundraiser at The Summit church in Enumclaw, Washington. It was a great time for meeting new people and seeing long-time supporters, but most of all it was a chance to raise money for Agape’s first orphanage project in Urucurituba, Brazil.
So many generous people came out to purchase Christmas gifts from our large selection of donated craft items. We also had many outright donations that were a real blessing. When all was said and done, approxi-mately $4,000 was raised! It was a true showering of God’s blessing on our ministry.
In addition to all the wonderful shoppers who came by, many individuals were also vital to the success of the event. First of all, we want to thank each of our crafters and artisans who selflessly gave their handmade treasures for the sake of our cause. In addition, many people provided much needed assistance setting up and tearing down for the event (a special thanks goes to Dave!). Finally, Agape wants to thank Mary Hoff who orchestrated the whole event and provided so many of the craft items in the sale; without her major contributions and help, the fundraiser would not have been possible. |
If you’re still looking for a unique Christmas gift or know someone who already has everything, we have a suggestion; give a donation in their name to Agape! For an amount of your choice, you can make a financial gift in someone else’s name and we’ll give them a special gift card identifying the amount of the contribution and how they can learn more about the ways it will help the homeless children of Brazil.
