Right now, Agape Orphanages International is taking some major steps toward the goal of building our first orphanage in Urucurituba, Brazil! At this moment, Tim Hoff (the founder and driving force of Agape) is in Sao Paulo, Brazil meeting with other missionaries and working with lawyers to get some of the final pieces in place to establish our ministry in the country. Then, next Wednesday, Tim will fly up to Manaus where he'll meet up with Kevin Lockwood. Together, the two will make their way to the town of Urucurituba where the orphanage will be built. During their time in Urucurituba, they are scheduled to meet with the town's mayor, tour the building site and meet with the neighboring church to propose the vision of the orphanage.
There are a lot of ways you can pray, but perhaps the most pressing issue right now is the language barrier. Unfortunately, every missionary couple that Tim and Kevin were supposed to be staying with in-country ended up being out of town for various reasons. This means that no one will be able to help translate and the pressure will be on for Tim to practice all the Portuguese he's been learning. He especially needs your prayers every day! Also, please pray for Tim and Kevin's families as they're back home without their fathers and husbands. Finally, we ask you to help us in praying for success in all aspects of the trip, and that God will be glorified by the work that everyone has done to support and pray for this ministry!
